Trade Building Plastics is proud to now call Oxford home, having set up our second outlet – our largest to date – here recently. We take pride in supplying high quality double glazing, conservatories, uPVC windows and uPVC doors to domestic and trade customers all across Oxfordshire. But that’s not all we offer, we stock a huge selection of products including patio doors (including French doors and aluminium bifold doors), composite doors and many other types of front doors and back doors.
On this page, we’ve looked to answer a few questions we commonly receive. If you have a different question for us, don’t hesitate to call our Oxford store on 01865 778 930.
What kind of conservatories do you supply?
We specialise in supplying the Oxford area with Edwardian, Victorian, gable, lean to and p-shape conservatories. Each has a distinctive look, and you can learn more about what they have to offer by navigating to the Conservatories section of this website. They are fitted with double glazing as standard, and are built from materials of the highest quality. Featuring uPVC windows and uPVC doors, our conservatories look fantastic and are both low-maintenance and thermally efficient.
What type of windows and doors do you sell?
We supply bespoke uPVC doors, composite doors, aluminium bifold doors, patio doors and French doors. Trade Building Plastics offers an array of options with each of the aforementioned products. Choose from a selection of materials, styles, colours and add-on options. Do you require bifold uPVC doors that stack to the left? No problem! We’ll be sure that your new doors tick every box on your wish list.
When it comes to windows, we sell the casement, sash, tilt & turn, bow and bay styles. Some come with double glazing as standard, while for others this is an optional element. We sell wooden as well as uPVC windows, so whatever it is you’ve decided will suit your Oxford home – we can help. If you’re still unsure which the best choice is, just give us a call! Our team will be more than happy to provide you with free, no-obligation advice.
How can I customise back doors and front doors?
Our customers can choose to have their new front doors or back doors installed as standard, stable or French doors. They can also choose from 17 different external frame colours and 9 different internal frame colours. Mix and match, or keep it consistent – the choice is yours. You can also choose from 16 different glass options, from ornate, patterned and coloured varieties, to simpler sorts.
Finally, choose from a range of different hardware options, including the doors’ handle. Use your imagination, mix and match hardware, glass styles and frame colours and suddenly you have one-of-a-kind composite doors you won’t find anywhere else in Oxford or wider Oxfordshire!
What are the advantages of composite doors over wooden ones?
Composite doors are extremely secure, durable and low-maintenance. They won’t warp, crack or require repainting, meaning they’re highly convenient. On top of this, they’re more thermally efficient than industry standard front doors and back doors. In fact, they boast a U-value of 1.1 w/m2k-1.4 w/m2k. This means they’ll help keep your heating bill down during winter, and lock in cool air during the summer.
How can I best receive a quote?
We have two online tools that can quickly help you design bifolding doors or casement windows for your Oxford property. Both our Casement Window Designer and Design Price Online services will allow you to request a free, no-obligation quote. But if it’s not casement windows or bifold doors you’re after, the best option is to give us a call.
What options do I have when buying bifold doors?
There are many options you can choose from when picking out aluminium bifold doors. Some open-in and some open-out, for example. You can also select the style, colour and glazing size that your bifold doors come in. This allows our Oxford customers to precisely match their new doors with the room they’ll stand in.
You can also choose low threshold bifold patio doors, which allow wheelchair users easy access. For a full list of options, check out the Styles & Features section of this website.
Are bifolding doors secure?
Bifold doors are some of the safest patio doors you can invest in. They feature double glazing and use multi-point locking systems, plus they’re typically made from aluminium, a very strong yet lightweight material. Inside aluminium bifold doors are bolts and hooks which ensure that intruders looking to gain access to your Oxford home will be kept at bay.
Where can I find your Oxfordshire showrooms?
